#SycamoreRide Day Two – Mile Marker 135

Our second day of Climate Ride was longer and harderwe road 83 miles overall, with a few more hills and just a few rougher roads, but the weather was again absolutely lovely and we enjoyed a “water” stop ten miles before camp at a local winery, Cody Kresta.

Climate Ride is more than just a fundraising bike rideit’s a conference. All members of Team Sycamore have been networking with other riders and talking about Sycamore’s work. Tonight we heard two fantastic speakers,  author Dr. Richard Oppenlander, and president of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Joel Brammier. Jeff White from Team Sycamore is leading one of the small group discussions this evening on Feedback Loops and Climate Science.

Robert Meitus and Jeff White earned the coveted green jersey for being two of the top ten fundraisers out of 110 riders. Congratulations and thank you to Jeff and Robert and all the Team Sycamore members!

A wonderful aspect to this ride is how many miles of the route are on tree-covered bike paths and designated bike lanes.

We spent lots of time cycling on back country roads through farm land and woods.
