Here’s a fun note from board member Greg Meyer, who pours his heart and soul into Eagle Slough Natural Area in Evansville, along with photos from Steve Gifford:

Eagle Slough looks great this fall. The leaf-covered trails are especially nice so I encourage you to get out and enjoy the property!

Why does it look so great? Because some wonderful folks volunteered their time to make it that way.

Anne Statham’s class at the University of Southern Indiana worked with other Friends of Eagle Slough to clear and widen all the trails. The Main Line Trail has never looked so good!

Our Alcoa partners tackled the task of weather-proofing the observation deck and cleaning all the trail signage too. The deck looks better than new!

And those are just a couple examples!
