Butterflies and Blooms Hike

Enjoy the beauty of butterflies and flowers in bloom as you stroll the broad trails of Touch the Earth Natural Area with nature enthusiast Doug Johnson. Doug will help you identify common insects and the plants upon which they rely. The hike will cover two miles.

Hikes are free for members; suggested donation for non-members is $5 per person or $10 per family.

Touch the Earth Natural Area is a 98-acre nature preserve located near Columbus, IN. It is the largest tract of protected land in Bartholomew County, and is an excellent spot for hiking and bird watching.
