National Public Lands Day Hike
- Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve
- Saturday, September 28, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Celebrate National Public Lands Day with a group hike at Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve! Anne Barnhorst will lead this hike in conjunction with Sycamore Land Trust and Women Who Hike. All are welcome!
We will be navigating this splendid nature preserve using the brand new boardwalk completed in 2019. This will be an easy, 2.5-mile hike with the opportunity to really take in this unique wetland that’s home to many endangered and threatened animal and plant species.
Please be prepared with water, snacks, and sun protection/proper clothing for being in the outdoors. A good portion of the trail is open to the sun. While dogs are allowed at this preserve, we ask that for this event they remain at home due to the number of people in attendance.
The hike is free to Sycamore members; suggested donation for non-members is $5 per person ($10 per family). Donations will be collected at the trailhead before the hike. We invite you to become a member now and help Sycamore restore native habitat in southern Indiana with a donation of $40 or more at sycamorelandtrust.org/donate. Thank you!
The new boardwalk is more accessible to those with limited mobility. Details here.
Click here for driving directions. Parking is limited, so please consider carpooling with someone else attending the hike. Thanks!
