Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19

To keep our Sycamore family and our wider community safe during the coronavirus outbreak, our staff will be working from home and in the field. Our office in Bloomington will be closed to visitors for the time being; our nature preserves remain open.

We anticipate there will be event cancellations, so please stay tuned to our calendare-newsFacebook, and Instagram for updates.

Our staff are available by email during business hours and will be checking voicemail daily, so please get in touch with questions. If you’re expecting a nature preserve guide, donation thank-you letter, or other piece of mail, it might take longer to arrive. We appreciate your patience!

During uncertain times like this, it gives us hope when we remember that nature is resilient and strong. We can find peace and renewal in the forests, trails, backyards, trees, gardens, streams, and other natural areas we love. Spring wildflowers are starting to bloom, like this delicate spring beauty photographed by Chris Fox last week at the Amy Weingartner Branigin Peninsula Preserve.
