MCPL Hiking Club at Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve
- Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve
- Sunday, March 14, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
It’s cold, but nature is still beckoning! This winter, spend some time in the great outdoors by yourself or with others in your quarantine pod, then gather with others virtually on Zoom to share your observations and experiences from each hike with the Monroe County Public Library Hiking Club. Photos, sketches, and recordings are welcome additions to the shared conversation. While specific trails at varying nature areas are suggested below, feel free to choose any trail that is right for you. Please register once for all sessions, but feel free to attend only the sessions that you want. A Zoom link for all sessions will be emailed to you upon registration. Age 16 and up.
January 10: Hoosier National Forest Pate Hollow Short Loop (3 miles) or Pate Hollow Trail (6.1 miles)
February 28: Sycamore Land Trust’s Porter West Preserve (1–4 miles)
March 14: Sycamore Land Trust’s Bean Blossom Nature Preserve (2.5 miles)
April 18: Green’s Bluff (1.5 miles) or Bluebird Trail Trailhead (1.7 miles)
On February 28, Sycamore Land Trust’s Environmental Education Director Shane Gibson will join the conversation to answer any questions you have about Porter West Preserve.
