2021 Annual Celebration: “Taking Care”

  • Thursday, October 21, 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm

Join your Sycamore Land Trust community for a virtual celebration of habitat restoration in southern Indiana!  Once land is owned by Sycamore, we begin the important work of protecting it through consistent, capable stewardship. This exciting online livestream event will include a closer look at our land stewardship and habitat restoration projects to take care of the land entrusted to us.

  • A Virtual Tour of Hoot Woods, Sycamore’s nature preserve protecting one of the few remaining old-growth forests in Indiana.  This behind-the-scenes guided tour will highlight giant trees dated to the 1700s.
  • Our “Dam Cam” Wildlife Camera Compilation Video will feature a first look at footage captured after we installed 12 cameras at nature preserves this year.  Meet the wildlife community that calls our preserves home!
  • 2021 Kids’ Nature Discovery Art Contest winners will be announced including pre-ordering options for the 2022 Kids’ Nature Discovery Calendar, featuring what to look for in nature each month and observing seasonal cycles in plant and animal life in southern Indiana.
