Annual Celebration Preserve-a-Preserve Weed Wrangle

Join Education Director Saige Sentell for a celebratory Weed Wrangle at Powell Preserve, where we’ll target invasive and native woody species to help maintain open meadows. Participants will learn how to identify prairie plants, early successional trees, and invasive shrubs, and how to manage open habitats safely while using the “cut stump method” with tools like handsaws and loppers. A certified applicator will apply all herbicide to the cut surfaces. Come celebrate another year of Sycamore at Powell Preserve! Powell Preserve is not open to the public. Registration is required.
