Halloween Preserve-a-Preserve Weed Wrangle at Powell Preserve

Join Education Director Saige Sentell for a Weed Wrangle at Powell Preserve, where we’ll target invasive and native woody species to help maintain open meadows. Participants will learn how to identify prairie plants and early successional trees, along with invasive shrubs. You will learn how to manage open habitats safely while using the “cut stump method” with tools like handsaws and loppers. A certified applicator will apply all herbicide to the cut surfaces.
