Knit in Nature: Pressed Flowers Kerchief

Cozy up with a hot cup of tea and your knitting needles at Cedar Crest during our Knit in Nature Workshop. Join Education Director Saige Sentell, an experienced knitter with over 20 years of practice, to sit in front of our expansive windows that overlook our oak-hickory woods, winter wrens, woodpeckers, and more. During this workshop, we will draw inspiration from the landscapes Sycamore protects. Knitting has deep roots in the natural world, emerging as a practical craft shaped by climate, animals, and plants. Please bring two contrasting yarns of the same weight and knitting needles appropriate for your chosen yarn. A basic understanding of knitting and purling will be helpful, but instruction will be provided for newer knitters.
