Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

Celebrate Arbor Day by planting a native tree! Sycamore Land Trust will give away more than 800 free native tree seedlings on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bloomingfoods East (3220 E. 3rd St.) and Bloomingfoods Near West (316 W. 6th St.) in Bloomington. Available species include elderberry, eastern redbud, persimmon, gray dogwood, ninebark, and red oak. This event is sponsored by IU Health and co-hosted by Bloomingfoods Co-op Market. Tree seedlings were grown by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. One free tree seedling per person while supplies last. Learn more at sycamorelandtrust.org/free-trees.
