Hike the Trust: Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve

Be a part of the buzz at Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve, where purple fringeless orchids bloom, beavers work, and Prothonotary Warblers fly from buttonbush to buttonbush! During this Hike the Trust outing, we’ll follow the boardwalk through one of southern Indiana’s largest restored floodplain wetlands. As we walk, we’ll observe the stages of natural succession, discuss ongoing restoration projects, and explore how the land’s past continues to shape the vibrant wetland ecosystem we see today. Expect to see an incredible diversity of life: Common Yellowthroats, Bald Eagles, Common Water Snakes, moths, orchids, and much more!
