COVID-19 Updates
Nature is a refuge in difficult times, and we are pleased to be able to keep Sycamore's nature preserves open at this time.
You can help us care for these beautiful natural areas and hiking trails. Please consider becoming a member!
Most of our public trails remain open but have seen a major increase in visitation during the pandemic, which has continued. Amy Weingartner Branigin Peninsula Preserve is closed on weekends and holidays, and the Cedars Preserve is closed.
We urge all visitors to follow guidelines for social distancing when visiting Sycamore’s nature preserves and review our current safety instructions.
Responsible Recreation
When visiting a nature preserve, use good judgment and always err on the side of safety. If a parking lot is full, the preserve has reached capacity. Please leave and come back at another time. Many of our preserves are seeing increased visitation these days, so safety and respect for others is paramount.
