Can we really make a difference?

Each of us alone can’t possibly protect all the natural beauty or important habitats on this planet. But there is one simple thing you can do to make a real difference for the environment. Donate to Sycamore Land Trust and know that your contribution will become an investment in the future of a healthier, greener Indiana. We utilize 100% of donations right here at home in southern Indiana, and you can see the difference it makes.

Consider one of the region’s most popular nature preserves, Beanblossom Bottoms in northern Monroe County. In 1990, this wetland area started out as a small parcel of land donated to the US Fish and Wildlife Services. Over the years, Sycamore has strategically acquired land around Beanblossom Creek and added onto this property. Over the course of 25 years, Sycamore added 600 acres piece by piece, creating and supporting a healthy wetland teeming with native plants, protected species, and bald eagles’ nests.

This work matters, and we can’t do it alone. Sycamore is only as strong as the people who join together for the health of the environment we all live in. Every gift counts — and you’ll rest easy knowing that you helped preserve this beautiful landscape for generations to come.

“I think that Sycamore Land Trust is nearly as ideal as any human institution can be as an expression of the will of the community to preserve the natural world and the heritage of its context.”

– Bill Weeks, Director of the IU Conservation Law Center, Sycamore board member, and former Executive VP of The Nature Conservancy
